What stays on your Roku

The screensaver stores your preferences on your Roku device, including fish speed, clock and weather settings, any ZIP code you enter, temperature units, and display placement and size. It uses the device's time settings for the optional clock. The app does not require an EZGOTravel account and does not include ads or analytics.

Optional weather

Weather is off by default. When you turn it on and save a five-digit U.S. ZIP code, your Roku sends that ZIP code over HTTPS directly to Open-Meteo to look up an approximate location. The screensaver then sends the coordinates returned for that ZIP code and your chosen temperature units to Open-Meteo to request current conditions.

The screensaver does not use GPS or your Roku account address. EZGOTravel does not receive these weather requests. Open-Meteo may process the request details and the connection's IP address under its terms and privacy policy. Its geocoding data comes from GeoNames.

Turn Weather off to stop weather requests. To remove your saved ZIP code, clear it in Weather ZIP and select Save and return. See Support for steps.

Website visits

This website does not ask you to sign in or submit personal information. It does not include advertising or tracking scripts. Cloudflare hosts the site and may process connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect it. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
